Health Fair big success
September 03, 2018
Jane Todd Crawford Hospital hosted its annual Health Fair on Aug. 11 on the grounds at Green County Primary Care, drawing 28 health care related vendors who set up booths. Visitors were able to pick up valuable health care information, along with free items and register for door prizes.
The JTCH Auxiliary had a concessions booth and also sponsored a silent auction where visitors made bids on items that were donated by hospital departments and/or employees, as well as several business members throughout the community. Children were also able to visit with the "Balloon Lady" who made several creations from balloons.
The biggest part of the Health Fair, however, is the blood draw. During the five-day drawing period, 758 people took advantage of the low-cost health check-up. Those who had their blood drawn on Tuesday-Thursday prior to the Health Fair were able to pick up their results that day and could discuss them with a health care provider. Others who had blood drawn on Friday or Saturday received their results in the mail.
