AMENDMENT: MARCH 30

March 19, 2020

NO VISITORS

As the status of the COVID-19 coronavirus continues to evolve, Jane Todd Crawford Hospital is taking further steps to help ensure the safety of our patients and our staff. Effective today - March 30, 2020 - no visitors will be allowed to visit patients until further notice.

SCREENING PROTOCOLS

Effective immediately, all those who enter the hospital will be allowed entrance ONLY through the main entrance or the ER entrance.  Upon presentation at these entry points, all individuals will have their temperature checked and will be asked a short series of screening questions.  Any individual with a positive finding will not be permitted entry to the hospital.

These measures are being taken out of an abundance of caution with our primary focus being on the safety of our patients and staff.

IOP PATIENTS

The IOP program at Jane Todd Crawford Hospital will be closed until further notice.  Our IOP staff will make sure that all our IOP patients receive their medicines, and a phone number will be made available to them in case they have any questions about their medicines or any other aspect of their care.

These actions are being taken in response to the current CDC recommendations and the guidelines being issued by the President’s Coronavirus Taskforce.  We ask for everyone’s patience and understanding as our country goes through this very difficult time.  And please understand that these measures are being taken with the best interests of our patients, staff, and community in mind.

This policy will be updated and made available as new recommendations and guidelines are issued by our governmental authorities.
